Dr. Brandon Penix brings extensive experience in workplace health, injury management, and medical evaluations. As a board-certified occupational medicine physician, he leads Northwest Medical Group PLLC in delivering expert care for businesses and employees alike.
From fitness-for-duty exams to independent medical evaluations, Dr. Penix provides evidence-based solutions that prioritize health, safety, and productivity. Whether partnering with corporate clients or guiding patients through recovery, he is committed to delivering high-quality occupational medical care.

Kyle Hickman, ARNP
Nurse Practitioner
Kyle Hickman is a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive care to individuals and families in the Moses Lake area. Fluent in Spanish, Kyle ensures that every patient feels heard, respected, and supported—regardless of language or background.
With a strong clinical foundation in hospital nursing and specialized experience in occupational medicine, Kyle helps patients recover from work-related injuries and safely return to their jobs. He also performs CDL exams and sports physicals, supporting both professional and recreational health needs.
Kyle earned his Associate Degree in Nursing from Big Bend Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University, and his Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University. Born and raised locally, he is deeply invested in the health and well-being of his community.
Kyle’s approach to care emphasizes accessibility, trust, and cultural sensitivity—making him a valued provider for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Christian Guadamuz, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Christian Guadamuz is a board-certified Physician Assistant committed to delivering compassionate, comprehensive medical care to individuals and families in the Moses Lake area. He graduated from the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant program and brings a well-rounded clinical background in family practice, orthopedics, and occupational medicine.
Christian’s approach to care is rooted in respect, integrity, and thoroughness. He prioritizes building trust with his patients and providing the essential support needed for effective recovery and long-term health outcomes. Certified to perform CDL examinations and fluent in Spanish, Christian ensures accessible and culturally sensitive care for a diverse patient population.
Outside of the clinic, Christian enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, reading, and spending quality time with his family, friends, and beloved dogs.
Nicholas Chambard, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist | Hand & Upper Extremity Specialist
Nicholas is a licensed occupational therapist specializing in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Washington State University and his Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Miami.
Since becoming licensed in 2021, Nicholas has worked exclusively in outpatient therapy, providing care for post-surgical recovery, wound management, orthosis fabrication, and orthopedic rehabilitation. He holds a Wound Care Specialty Certification and is currently pursuing additional credentials in the Graston Technique and as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
Originally from Yakima, Nicholas joined Northwest Medical Group in 2025. He is passionate about helping patients regain function and improve their quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and spending time with his dog.
Adam Coulson, DPT, CIDN
Physical Therapist | Certified in Dry Needling
Adam Coulson is a licensed physical therapist who brings both expertise and compassion to his care. A native of Moses Lake, Adam earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University.
Adam is passionate about helping patients recover and thrive, with a special interest in occupational health and injury prevention. He is certified in dry needling and fluent in Spanish, allowing him to connect with and support a diverse patient population.
Outside of the clinic, Adam enjoys running, playing tennis, spending time with his family, and keeping up with his energetic Boston Terrier. An avid traveler, he has explored 16 countries across three continents and looks forward to future adventures.
Jacob Bruce, DPT
Physical Therapist
Jacob Bruce is a licensed physical therapist with over five years of experience serving the Moses Lake community. A proud Moses Lake native, Jacob graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2018 and has since provided outpatient care to patients across the region. His time at one of Eastern Oregon’s largest outpatient clinics also gave him valuable experience in a high-volume, multidisciplinary setting.
Jacob is passionate about helping people recover from injuries, improve their mobility, and take charge of their health. He finds daily motivation in seeing his patients progress and regain confidence in their physical abilities. His approach to care is enhanced by training in the Graston Technique and Strain Counterstrain, allowing him to tailor treatments to each patient’s unique needs.
Outside the clinic, Jacob enjoys traveling with his wife, gaming with friends and family, and embracing the outdoor lifestyle of Moses Lake through activities such as boating, hiking, and other recreational pursuits.
Lori Mejia Vargas, RN
Activity Coach
Lori Mejia Vargas’s passion for healthcare started with personal experiences navigating complex medical challenges within her own family. These early encounters ignited a lifelong commitment to helping others find clarity and confidence in the often-overwhelming healthcare and insurance systems. Lori is deeply dedicated to empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and access the care they deserve.
With a broad and diverse background spanning multiple specialties, including emergency care, medical assisting, intensive care nursing, general practice, women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral health, and occupational health, Lori brings a holistic and compassionate approach to patient care. Her clinical experience enables her to understand and address the full range of patient needs.
At Northwest Medical Group, Lori utilizes her expertise in the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP). This multidisciplinary program helps individuals regain meaningful life roles after injury or while managing chronic health conditions. Her involvement in PGAP demonstrates her dedication to improving the quality of life and encouraging resilience in her clients.

Irene Garza is a licensed mental health therapist with over 30 years of experience providing care across a wide range of therapeutic modalities. At Northwest Medical Group, she focuses on supporting individuals coping with the emotional and behavioral impacts of workplace injuries, including mood changes, behavioral shifts, and other psychological challenges.
Her approach is grounded in compassion and effectiveness, with a strong emphasis on empowering clients to progress in their recovery. Irene believes in a collaborative, whole-person model of care that promotes lasting well-being and resilience.
Anselmo Quezada, LMHC
Mental Health Therapist
Anselmo Quezada is a licensed mental health therapist with nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals through challenges like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and psychosis. He earned his degree from Eastern Washington University and has lived in the Moses Lake community for over 30 years.
As a fluent Spanish speaker with a migrant background, Anselmo is committed to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. His experience includes nine years on a behavioral health crisis team, where he developed specialized skills in crisis intervention and risk assessment.
Anselmo’s approach is compassionate and client-centered, focused on creating a safe space for healing and resilience.

Reina Escamilla is a licensed mental health therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals through complex emotional and behavioral challenges. She brings a versatile, evidence-based approach to care, drawing on certifications in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Common Elements Treatment Approach (CETA), Solution-Focused Therapy, and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Tara Harris has been a licensed massage therapist since 2022, bringing hands-on experience from both chiropractic and spa environments. She joined Northwest Medical Group in 2024, where she continues to provide personalized treatments, including hot stone therapy, intraoral massage, cupping, Swedish massage, and deep tissue massage.
Tara is passionate about helping others feel their best through customized treatment plans that promote relaxation, recovery, and overall wellness. Outside of work, Tara enjoys hiking, camping, homesteading, and spending time with animals and friends.
